If you haven't heard by now there is an offical Unkommon Kolor vs Shogun Video Game! After making a few tees as an ode to our childhood games, and with the epic collab between us & Shogun... what better way to start off the summer than with our own video game. What clothing line is touching that? None of them. I drew, animated & development the game entirely with Flash + Actionscript in 2 days start to finish. Unkommon Kolor, you're favorite artist's favorite... everything.

T riving Minds is a part of the Big Thought Organization here in Texas that is actively reaching out to kids this summer to give them a richer experience. So needless to say it was an honor that they commissioned me to do a campaign website for the program.

W here do I start with this one? Morgana Wilborn as a director and photographer is brilliant. Both mediums compliment each other, and it's easy to see that she pulls from both sides in each piece. Having her as my companion is life has proven to be a major blessing. Check out the website I created for her & be sure to visit her blog because she updates pictures weekly... Each more incredible than the last.

We're back!!! Spring 2010! In 2008, some friends and I started a clothing line. Over the past couple of years we've seen major growth and lots of recognition from celebrities and fans alike. March 1st marks the date of the Spring 2010 line. It also marks a new version of the site & new lookbook. (No cool flash this time. Sorry guys.) But even stronger photography and much stronger pieces. In only a week, we've already sold more than half of the line.

My clothing line Unkommon Kolor held a competition for Wacom Tablet Illustrations & this was my entry. Our fans voted on the pieces & I ended up in 2nd place. Normally I don't post my illustrations & graphics because I target web design & development jobs. However, once in a while I feel the need to show I have skills in everything! Everything in this illustration is hand drawn. No reference picture used. Even down to my logo being cut in the hair was drawn from scratch!

When opportunity knocks, I make sure I take full advantage. During the mid autum months American Airlines Publishing asked me to redesign whyyoufly.com & americanwaymag.com. After making some very memorable commercials they wanted to continue that success and make whyyoufly.com a social media portal. Both sites are still in development and will be launched mid-year 2010.

B eing a tailor, I have an affinity for anything custom. Majoring in architecture, that means custom furniture is a must. So when I was approached by Furniture Your Way to redesign their website I emmersed myself in the world of custom furniture & learned as much as I could. I even built a few pieces for myself. The website is completed and will launch July 1, 2010.

The last time I posted about the Dallas Weekly was when we launched the new website. Since then I've created numerous additions to their product line... website, dedicated pages for advertisers, custom blogs, media players, email marketing (this just in & the weekender) and this latest addition - Dallas Weekly Desktop Application. The Atlanta Voice is the sister company of the Dallas Weekly & wanted an identical application with a skin that matched their website. Please download the application & let me know what you think. It's quite useful for news & local events.

Over the past couple of years, Dallas has become a place that you travel to instead of from. And with that came the recognition of it being the center of a major arts community. The At&T Performing Arts Center allowed me to pitch an idea for a micro site. They ended up purchasing it from me & use it quite heavily to promote their upcoming shows.

Over the past 9 months (March 08 - Dec 08), I have been a contractor at Travelocity. During this time, I was commissioned to create a mini-site for a promotion between Travelocity and The Amazing Race for The Amazing Race's thirteenth season.
This was a solo project, not a collab. Over a 3 week time span I created a few versions of the layout, created ads, flash applications and custom graphics for the campaign.
Also during my stay at Travelocity, I created over 300 online ads for major airlines who advertised with Travelocity, such as American Airlines, United, British Airways, Virgin America and many more. These included static and flash ads. Along with that, I created promo pages for regional deals for hotel chains and airlines.

Chef Tre, a featured chef from Bravo's Top Chef Season 3, commissioned me for his new website. The site has officially launched. I guarantee you will love this. Chef Tre's food is art work to say the least. Incredible color pallets coupled with a cornucopia of flavors. I created the perfect display for his art work; a full flash website using AS2 and XML, which allows him up update all of his content quick and easily. Throughout the site, the focus stays on the food... strong photography, clean lines and an unobtrusive navigation creates the atmosphere that you are in an art gallery.

Watermelon Democracy is a Dallas based clothing line. They came to me in need of a full flash website. I created it using Actionscript 2.0. I created it to allow them to update every element of the site using XML. I also created an online store using PHP and mySql with a content management system for easy updating.

Unkommon Kolor has been a blessing in so many ways. It's a clothing line that my friends and I started early summer 2008. The stars must have aligned because for so many years my best friend & I have talked about meeting a group of people who have incredible artistic abilities and just as focused as we are. In such a small amount of time we've built a strong name for ourselves & produced some very original and incredible pieces. I'm one of the owners and designers. I'm also responsible for all of the online marketing. Everything we do over at Unkommon Kolor is produced in-house. The environment in an open, creative lab to just experiment with everything possible from fashion to music to graphics, animation and video production. Definitely keep an eye out for us.

Friends, family & every relationship you make in life will lead to something greater; that is if you nurture it right. A childhood friend of mine decided to join the family business. This just so happen to be the largest African American newspaper in Texas. They've been looking to grow their online presence, and I was blessed to be thought of to help out with this project. A few details of what I'll be doing: full interface re-design, content management system, information architecture, advertising, sales strategies to convert those print sales to print & web sales, video streaming & much more. This has proven to be another incredible project in which I've worked with some really talented business men and women.

Katharine D. Interiors is a high end custom drapery company based in Frisco, Tx. For 2 years I doubled as the creative director and office manager. Over the years we've gone through 4 different versions of the website, and each time we've been rated as the top marketing drapery country in the North Texas area. Robert Allen recently approached us about selling their furniture on our website because of the high standards and quality that we always present.
